Yes. Every new account receives a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan. No payment information is required. At the end of the trial your account is suspended unless you activate a paid subscription.

No. The dashboard is a hosted SaaS product. The Minecraft plugin and Discord bot are distributed as downloadable software, but the dashboard itself is not open source or self-hostable.

The Discord bot is open source at github.com/AkidHunter/staffhq-bot. The Minecraft plugin is closed source.

The plugin supports Minecraft 1.19 and later on Paper, Spigot, Purpur, and Folia. For BungeeCord and Velocity networks, refer to the compatibility notes on the Plugin page.

Yes. StaffHQ 2.1 and later includes Folia-compatible scheduling. Use the Bukkit jar for Folia servers.

StaffHQ is read-only from the plugin side. It listens to events but does not modify game state, so it should not conflict with other staff plugins. If you experience a conflict, report it in the Discord server with the plugin list.

StaffHQ can track players on offline-mode servers but player UUIDs will be offline UUIDs rather than Mojang account UUIDs. This means some cross-server linking may not work correctly. Discord account linking requires online-mode players for reliable UUID matching.

Yes. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time from the Settings page. Upgrades go through a standard checkout and activate as soon as payment is confirmed. Your existing data is preserved across tiers.

Subscriptions are prepaid and available in five lengths: 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (15% off), 12 months (20% off), and 24 months (25% off). You pay upfront for the full cycle and your account stays active until the paid-through date. There are no recurring card charges — you initiate each renewal yourself. An optional managed bot hosting add-on (£2.99/mo) can be bundled at checkout.

Starter supports 1 server, Pro supports 5, and Max supports 10 servers. Discord guild limits are 1 (Starter), 2 (Pro), and 5 (Max). Exact limits are shown on the pricing page.

Your data is retained for 30 days after suspension. Renew your subscription within that window and everything is restored as it was. After 30 days the tenant database is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. You will receive an email when your subscription expires and your 7-day grace period begins.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. API keys are stored as hashed values and cannot be retrieved after creation.

Yes. From the Settings page, under Data, you can request a full export of your tenant data, including players, punishments, chat logs, staff sessions, and anti-cheat flags. Exports are generated asynchronously and delivered as a compressed JSON archive by email.

The bot requires Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, and View Channels. It does not require administrator permissions. Restrict the bot to specific channels using Discord channel permission overrides.

IP addresses from IP bans (via LiteBans or similar) are stored as one-way hashes. Plain-text IP addresses are not stored by StaffHQ. Player UUIDs and usernames are stored.

Only you and the team members you invite can access your dashboard. StaffHQ staff may access account data for support purposes only, with your consent or as required by law. Refer to the Privacy Policy for full details.
